Welcome to Methodist ElderCare Services, a not-for-profit affiliate of the West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church. Created in 1965, Methodist ElderCare Services provides quality housing, health care and services to seniors, and our vision is to meet the daily needs of elders in Central Ohio. We operate Wesley Glen Retirement Community, Wesley Ridge Retirement Community and Life Center Adult Day Services in the greater Columbus area and Wesley Hills single family condominiums in Lancaster, Ohio. Methodist ElderCare Services has been a constant in providing quality housing, health care and services to seniors in a Christian community setting since 1969. There are many recent awards and exciting new additions to the affiliates of Methodist ElderCare Services.
Wesley Glen will celebrate 43 years of ministry to older adults in December of 2012. In addition to serving the older adult of Central Ohio for over 40 years, there are many other accolades for Wesley Glen. The Assisted Living received the Reader's Choice Award in 2010 by the Readers of Suburban News Paper in Central Ohio. In 2011 Wesley Glen received the Best Retirement Community award from Columbus C.E.O. readers. The Health Center received a "5 Star Rating" from the Ohio Department of Health, which included the highest rating within a 50 mile radius. Also, Wesley Glen received an EAGLE accreditation from the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. The accreditation is widely regarded as the "seal of approval."
On March 13, 2012, Wesley Glen celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Wellness Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The goal is to enhance the lifestyle for the residents of the Wesley Glen community. The Wellness Center will provide the residents with an aquatic pool, state-of-the-art warm water therapy pool, multi-purpose room, juice bar, health clinic, conference room, fitness center and space for occupational and physical therapy. These services and amenities are examples of Wesley Glen's commitment to quality services and care.
Wesley Ridge Assisted Living received a "zero deficiencies" rating in the yearly inspection from the State Department of Health. Wesley Ridge broke ground early in 2012 on a Chapel and Skilled Nursing addition that should be completed early in 2013.
A new affiliate, Hospice Services at Methodist ElderCare, is in the final steps in the licensing process. Watch for details about this exciting new ministry from Methodist ElderCare Services.
The upcoming 3rd Annual Charity Golf Classic on July 23, 2012, will benefit the new additions: Wellness Center at Wesley Glen, Chapel/Skilled Nursing at Wesley Ridge and Hopice Services at Methodist ElderCare.
