Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness

Every day, millions of American families experience the difficult reality of Alzheimer’s disease. The physical and emotional demands of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s can be overwhelming, but no one should face this disease alone. During National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, we would like to recognize all those living with Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia and honor the caregivers, including families and friends, who support them.

Colors can make us feel better, calm strong feelings and even promote a sense of peace and relaxation. They can affect our physical, mental and spiritual states. Purple is the national cause ribbon color for this disease. Purple is the color of dignity and spirituality. It urges us to find the power within. It imparts determination, provides inspiration during transformation and can soothe and decrease stress. It is no wonder this color was chosen!

Our staff on all campuses is wearing the ribbons to increase awareness and renew commitment to improving treatments for this illness that may one day prevent it entirely.

Testimonials & Review

Wesley Glen is absolutely wonderful. Mom has been there since May and she's in independent plus. It has everything from independent, independent plus, assisted living to memory care. They have lots of services, hairdressers and nail salons right at the facility. The food is good and mom absolutely loves it. The independent plus works great.
