Business Council of Ohio Honors Employers for Healthy Practices

The Wesley Communities Walk the Way to End Alzheimer’s
(Columbus, Ohio)- On Sunday, residents, families and staff at The Wesley Communities joined together at the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The team, “The Wesley Way,” successfully raised over $3,600 to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
Wesley Glen Collaborates with Sunapple Studio for Art Grant Project
(Columbus, Ohio)- For the month of June, Wesley Glen Retirement Community residents, along with Sunapple Studio artists have been working together to create a collaborative art project. Sunapple, an art studio for disabled artists, invited Wesley Glen to be a part of this project after receiving a grant from VSA Ohio and the Ohio Arts Council to implement a month-long art program. This grant is intended to enrich the lives of both Sunapple artists, as well as residents at Wesley Glen through teamwork, relationship building, and creativity.
Emergency Employee Fund Exceeded Goal
(Columbus, Ohio)- The Wesley Communities, a faith-based not-for-profit, has successfully raised over $30,000 to support the newly established Employee Emergency Fund. The Fund Development team began raising money for the Emergency Fund, which is intended to assist employees who have experienced a recent emergency, as of April 1. Contributions were primarily received from staff members, and residents from Wesley Glen, Wesley Glen, and Wesley Hospice, which is located on the Wesley Woods at New Albany campus.

Second Anniversary Celebration of the Mall Walker Group
(Columbus, Ohio)- Join us on April 24th for the Mall Walker Group’s Second Anniversary Celebration, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Shops at Worthington Place in collaboration with Wesley Glen Retirement Community. This celebration, which is open to the public, will honor the dedication our members have proved over the past two years.

(Columbus, Ohio)- On September 15, Methodist Eldercare Services, known as an outstanding provider of quality continuum care retirement communities in central Ohio, changed its name to The Wesley Communities.
Wesley Glen Wesley Ridge Charity Golf Classic Sets Record Once Again
Columbus, OH (July 20, 2015) – The 6th Annual The Wesley Communities Wesley Glen/Wesley Ridge Charity Golf Classic held Monday, July 13 netted more than $121,000 for Wesley Hospice and Wesley At Home. Net proceeds were the highest ever for the event and represent a 6% increase over 2014. The silent auction raised more than $6,800 and the live auction $35,500.
The charity golf tournament brought in 34 teams consisting of 136 golfers. Title Sponsors for the event were Corna Kokosing Construction Company and FirstMerit Bank.
