Medical Services on Campus
Should they need intermediate or skilled nursing care, residents stay in the Health Center on a temporary or extended basis. The Health Center has individualized programs to encourage the best possible recovery of strength and health. A variety of activities are offered to help residents feel as active as possible.

VitalStimulation Therapy
Wesley Glen is now one of the few facilities in the area that offers a therapy treatment for individuals with difficulty swallowing. VitalStimulation Therapy is the only FDA approved method to promote swallowing through the application of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to the swallowing muscles with goals to strengthen and reeducate the muscles and improve motor control of the swallowing mechanism.
Our certified speech-language pathologist, Andrea Nicholas is currently offering this treatment to those with medical conditions such as: general weakness, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, early-middle dementia and others that cause difficulty with swallowing.
Don’t let your loved one suffer any more on an altered or restricted diet. With this therapy, eating is no longer a chore.

Balance Check
The BalanceCheck™ systems are designed to quantify a person's ability to maintain balance through postural sway measurements. Bertec’s BalanceCheck™ systems are devised to identify whether a problem exists, determine the underlying cause of the problem, and determine whether corrective action is needed or has been effective. The system incorporates three aspects of training: Static Balance Training, Dynamic Balance Training, and Limit of Stability Training. These training protocols are suitable for rehabilitating those with balance disorders.

The Health Center offers care with choices and options to fit your individual needs. The daily service fee includes most benefits, services and amenities that provide the extra support needed.
The only added charges you will find are for additional services that are available upon your request. These charges are not included in the normal daily fee, but are available at minimal cost:
